About Us
Honoring the Past. Building the Future.
Sound Glass began in 1983 with a clear vision: create a glass company that puts people first. Founder Warren Willoughby didn’t just build a business; he built trust. Through craftsmanship, honesty, and showing up for customers and community, he turned a small local shop into a regional leader for glass services across the Puget Sound.
For more than four decades, homeowners, contractors, and businesses chose Sound Glass because of what Warren built: a company that keeps its word.
The result? A reputation not just for quality glass, but for doing things the right way.
A New Chapter with Familiar Values.
Today, Sound Glass is entering its next era with Ken Schmidt stepping into the role of President.
Ken brings nearly 30 years of experience in construction, working throughout the Puget Sound on both commercial and residential projects. His background as a general contractor and a building envelope contractor gives him a unique understanding of how glass shapes spaces - not just functionally, but experientially.
Ken believes in leading with integrity, treating people well, and maintaining the kind of relationships that last. These are the same principles Warren built this company on.
Under Ken’s leadership, Sound Glass remains focused on delivering high-quality work and personal service, while also embracing new opportunities and continued innovation in the glass industry.
But what truly connects Ken to Sound Glass is his values.
but what matters most will always stay the same. Sound Glass remains local, independent, and proudly rooted in the Pacific Northwest - just like it has been since 1983.
What’s ahead is exciting,
