(Junior or Senior Level) – Commercial Glazing
Location: Greater Seattle/Tacoma, WA

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Project Manager to join our Commercial Glazing division. This role may be filled at either a Junior or Senior level, depending on experience. The Project Manager must be a good cultural fit with our team and will collaborate with others as they oversee all phases of assigned projects, from preconstruction through closeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial storefront and curtain wall projects ranging from $200K to $3M+.
- Oversee preconstruction processes including scope review, budget review, product selection, submittals, RFIs, purchasing, safety documentation and scheduling.
- Partner with clients, vendors, superintendents, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Anticipate challenges, propose solutions, and share lessons learned to strengthen the team.
- Conduct site visits to verify progress, site conditions, and installation quality.
- Maintain accurate logs (RFIs, submittals, change orders) using Excel, SmartSheets, or other project management software.
- Manage project closeout, including warranties, maintenance manuals, and other required documentation.
- Represent Sound Glass with professionalism and integrity, maintaining our reputation as a premier glazing contractor.

- Strong knowledge of construction documents, procedures, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Procore, SmartSheets, and Microsoft Office Suite.

(Junior or Senior Level) – Commercial Glazing

We’re currently looking to add a talented and motivated Project Estimator to our Commercial Glazing department in the greater Seattle/Tacoma area. This position can be tailored to a Junior or Senior estimator, depending on your experience and skillset.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret architectural and structural drawings and specifications related to glazing and curtain wall systems.
- Develop accurate and detailed scopes of work, including labor, materials and equipment.
- Create scopes of work for subcontractors, vendors and suppliers.
- Prepare comprehensive estimates with clear inclusions and exclusions for client presentation.
- Evaluate bid opportunities and contribute to strategic project pursuits.
- Participate in schedule planning, risk assessment, and opportunity identification.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, vendors, and field personnel.
- Accurately field-measure spaces as needed to support estimating and ordering.
- Promote company services and self-generate leads through relationship building.
- Collaborate with project management and field teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
What We’re Looking For
- Estimating or project management experience in glazing, curtain wall, storefront, or general contracting.
- Strong understanding of construction documents and procedures.
- Proficiency in construction software such as Bluebeam, Procore, SmartSheets, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and math skills.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong presentation skills and professional demeanor with clients.
- Associate’s degree in construction management or a related field preferred.
- Field experience or knowledge of installation best practices is a plus.
Commercial Glazing
Location: Tacoma, WA (Greater Seattle Area)
Sound Glass is a leader in the commercial glazing industry—and we’re growing. We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Commercial Department Manager to oversee our Project Management and Estimating teams while helping guide the continued expansion of our commercial division. This role is ideal for a glazing professional with deep technical expertise, strong leadership ability, and a passion for developing high-performing teams.
Position Summary
The Commercial Department Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for our commercial Project Managers, Estimators, and support staff. In the near term, this individual will also maintain a partial workload by estimating and managing select projects to support department operations and ensure a smooth leadership transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the commercial department, including Estimators, Project Managers, and support personnel.
- Set clear expectations, maintain high morale, and foster a cohesive team environment.
- Guide recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and retention of top talent.
- Drive continuous improvement by developing procedures that reduce waste and increase efficiency in the office, shop, and field.
- Oversee project financials, forecasting, labor tracking, and department performance metrics.
- Support and mentor teams through procedural changes and periods of significant growth.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with union requirements, safety standards, quality expectations, and building/energy codes.
- Participate in industry associations and represent Sound Glass with professionalism and technical expertise.
- Manage and/or estimate selected projects as needed during transition and growth phases.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of commercial glazing experience, with significant background as a Project Manager and/or Estimator.
- Experience with public and private sector projects, including federal and military work.
- Strong understanding of storefront, curtainwall, unitized systems, skylights, automatic doors, hardware, and related scopes.
- Demonstrated ability to track labor production, forecast labor/materials/equipment, and maintain accurate project financials.
- Hands-on knowledge of field and shop equipment used for glazing system installation and fabrication.
- Excellent understanding of building envelope requirements, safety standards, and applicable codes.
- Proven ability to lead teams, implement change, and maintain high morale.
- Experience developing metrics, incentive programs, and performance benchmarks.
- Involvement in industry associations.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and marketing skills.
- Field experience or a college degree in construction management or a related field.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide customer service for glass products and glazing materials
- Process glass orders and order entry accurately
- Coordinate purchasing with glass vendors and suppliers
- Track orders and communicate delivery timelines
- Work with internal teams to ensure orders are produced and delivered correctly
- Maintain records of purchasing, inventory, and order status
- Assist customers with product availability, pricing, and specifications
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in the glass industry (required)
